Electroactive polymers

Electroactive polymers (artificial muscles) are materials with properties that have similarities with muscles. They are responsive to changes in electrical tension, and will change shape as voltage is applied. Because of this they can be used both as motors (muscles) or sensors that contract or extract when touched.
